Nice, but not Perfect..., November 29, 2011 This review is from: Rosen Video DSSB1010H11 CD/DVD/MP3/GPS Nav In-Dash Receiver w/ 7 Display & Bluetooth/SD/USB - Subaru (1 Each) (Electronics) The Rosen unit is nice, but quirky. Once installed, it looks stock. The dash trim fits almost perfectly (it is off by less than 1mm), and the dash lights, the color of the plastic, and the button-layout all match the interior perfectly. The sound the unit produces is crisper and cleaner than the factory headunit. The ipod integration is much better than the factory ipod controls, but although intuitive, finding a single song or artist requires lots of scrolling. The navigation functions are nice, although I am still getting used to them. I am used to a Garmin Nuvi, and the Rosen Nav has some nice features that the Garmin doesn't. I put the GPS antenna in the glovebox (the instructions call for it to be placed outside the car, but this goes against my desire to have the car look stock), and so far it connects to satellites better than my garmin. The quirks of the unit are 1) each time the car is started the entire system "hard boots," meaning you lose what song was playing, and it... Read more
