Great Small Speakers But Needs Hardware To Install, April 13, 2012 By Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Hertz DCX 100 4" 2-Way Coaxial Speakers (1 Pair) DCX100 (Electronics) I'm very happy with the way these speakers sounds. I replaced the blown stock speakers in my toyota pickup and they sounds great. Crystal clear highs and mids, not bad bass response too considering they are only 4" speakers. The only downside to this is they didn't come with speaker wire or connectors. Every other pair of speakers I've bought came with all that. Also the connectors aren't the standard I'm used to seeing. Usually the negative terminal is smaller then the positive but as you can see in the picture they are both the same (larger) size connector so you might have to modify your connectors to get a fit.

Saved $60 on the speakers and $39 on the install. I installed the pair in the front dash of a 1994 SR5 4Runner. You will need to replace the negative (black) wire female stock connectors because the speaker terminal connectors are both big (see picture). The positive (red) wire female connector fits, but is very tight at the start. Spread it first a touch with a small screwdriver. Speakers come with no wire hardware, just installation screws hidden in the top of the styrofoam packaging that I didn't use. I thought I would have to dremel cut the extra 2 tabs off but didn't need to in the end. Installation was very easy on the passenger side as there is a removable plastic casing that holds the speaker behind the glove box. Drivers side took a little longer, 20 minutes versus 10.
